Will A Cast Iron Bath Be Too Heavy For My Floor?
As long as the building is structurally sound and meets building regulations, a Cast Iron Bath should not be too heavy for the floor. A cast iron bath filled with water and a person is about the same as having 4 or 5 people standing in your bathroom. If you are at all unsure then please do give us a call to discuss.
What Are The Benefits Of A Cast Iron Bath?
Cast Iron is incredibly strong and durable which means that they will last for many years. All of our cast iron baths have a vitreous enamel coating on the inside. Enamel is a very good insulator and this means that your water will stay hot for longer. Enamel is also extremely difficult to damage and cannot be easily scratched, cracked or dented. Our Cast Iron Baths weigh between 200kg and 300kgs when filled.
Do Cast Iron Baths Lose Heat More Quickly?
Enamel is a great insulator of heat and forms a barrier between and as the majority of heat is lost from the surface of the water then you should notice no more heat loss from a Cast Iron Bath than from any other kind of bath.
What Else Do I Require When Ordering My Bath?
We would recommend that when purchasing one of our freestanding baths, you also purchase our ‘exposed overflow waste’ and ‘shallow seal bath trap’. We cannot guarantee that if you purchase these items elsewhere that they will fit your bath.

Based in Belfast: home to a ship building heritage that was known to be the best in the world.
A century ago, highly skilled workers were striding to work, swerving at the clatter of horses’ hooves on the cobbles and jumping at the whistle of steam behind them.
Never more so in 1909, when the White Star Line’s new Titanic liner became the 401st ship to be built at Belfast’s Harland & Wolff shipyard.
To accommodate the sheer size of Titanic and her sister ships, the yard constructed a sophisticated, state of the art scaffolding system known as the Arroll Gantry named after its designer, the Scottish civil engineer and bridge builder, Sir William Arroll.17 Countries Worldwide18 Years Experience9 Bath Models22 Radiator Models
